Through a Financial Assurance Fund from the UK’s National Institute for Health Research we are delighted to be organising a workshop on Good Financial Grant Practice (GFGP) workshop. This workshop is a joint venture by the TIBA Partnership and the African Academy of Sciences (AAS). We are being hosted by our colleagues in the University of Rwanda.
Five African scientists are to study at the University of Edinburgh as part of a scheme to tackle infectious diseases.
The experts – from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa – will conduct research that seeks to reduce the burden of Africa’s most damaging diseases.

By a unanimous decision of our Steering Committee taking at the Second Annual General Meeting held in Accra, September 2019, the TIBA Partnership has formally endorsed the ‘London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases’ .
